I am certainly new to the blogging community and late to the party for sure, but I’m not new to sharing my experiences—my successes and my failures. I’ve always struggled with public speaking and getting up in front of the congregation at church to share a sermon, an exhortation, or even just my testimony. So, I figured maybe a blog is the right place for me to get my thoughts out there—no spotlight, just real talk.
I figured I could share my thoughts on products I’ve reviewed and tried, swap some stories and adventures from my life, and finally share my faith in a way that doesn’t mean all eyes are on me.
The outdoors, for me, is a place where I can get away from the chaos of everyday work, the stress, and the constant on-the-go activities of a family of six, and just enjoy God’s creation.
That’s really what I want this blog to be—a place where I can write about the things I care about: honest gear reviews, a few stories from my own adventures (the ones that went right and the ones that, well… didn’t), and the lessons that have stuck with me. But I also want to talk about my faith—how it’s grown, how it’s been tested, and how I see God’s hand in the middle of all the ordinary, everyday stuff.
Maybe you’re like me—someone who’d rather write than get up in front of a crowd. I’m hoping that sharing these stories here will not only help me work through what I’m learning, but maybe give someone else a little encouragement too. Whether you’re here for outdoor tips, a new piece of gear, or just to read about how faith and adventure overlap, I hope you’ll find something that resonates.
